Bespoke Joinery & Interior Craftsmanship

Archie Milton Bespoke joinery & design was founded with a focus on creating thoughtful, well crafted joinery designed to sit naturally within the home. Each project begins with an understanding of the space and the way the client lives, allowing the design to respond to both the character of the property and the practical needs of everyday life.

Working across most of South Wales, Archie personally designs, builds and installs every piece of joinery. This hands-on approach ensures a consistent level of craftsmanship and attention to detail from the first conversation through to the final installation.

The result is bespoke cabinetry and fitted interiors that feel considered, balanced and built to last.

Some of my Past Projects

A faux chimney breast I created for a home in Cardiff. Built with a solid timber structure, it incorporates a recessed media space and a solid French oak mantel. Tumbled brick slips and a tiled hearth add depth and character, finished in Farrow & Ball Duck Egg.

A classic heritage home office created for a property in Barry. The design features a vented radiator cover, shaker style base units and a thick solid oak desktop, complemented by adjustable shelving and soft close birch ply drawers. A traditional cornice and crown moulding complete the cabinetry, all finished in a deep Farrow & Ball studio green.

A bespoke under stair unit designed to maximise space while maintaining a clean and balanced appearance. The doors feature Cheshire moulding with push to open mechanisms, allowing the cabinetry to remain handle free and minimal. Integrated skirting ensures the unit sits naturally within the room, finished in a deep royal blue for a bold yet timeless look.

An elegant yet practical storage unit for a front room in Penarth. Featuring classic shaker style doors, warm smart LED down lights with the proportions designed to complement the existing window and louvre blinds. The upper doors are split to maintain symmetry while allowing full access around the structural steel within the opening.

MY Approach

Every project begins with an understanding of how the client lives within their home. The way a room is used, the character of the property and the small daily routines that shape the space all inform the design.

From there, the joinery is carefully considered to sit naturally within the architecture of the room. Proportions, materials and detailing are refined so the finished piece feels balanced, functional and timeless.

Each project is then crafted, finished and installed with the same level of care, ensuring the final result not only looks considered, but works effortlessly within the home for years to come.

Archie is one of those rarest of things - a tradesman you can trust. he has high personal standards, great integrity and superlative skill. Like any superb tradesmen he is booked up quite a lot in advance but he is so worth waiting for.
